Accounting Your Blessings Day 1

Welcome to "Accounting Your Blessings".

The next 30 days have the power to change your life. This course will offer the guidance and structure to completely change the way you see the concepts of abundance, wealth, and prosperity in your life. If you are ready to open yourself up to this process, be ready for miracles to occur!

This course will help you fine-tune your senses to be aware of all the riches that are pouring into your life. As you become more aware of the wonderful blessings around you, you are - without a doubt - attracting more of the same to you.
At the center of this course is the daily accounting sheet that you may download HERE. The sheet looks and works the same every day. There are several ways you can work with the accounting sheets -
1. Print out the sheet each day, and place it in a binder or folder when you've filled it out.
2. Print out 30 accounting sheets right now, and place them in a binder, so that you have them ready to go.
3. If your version of Acrobat has the "Free Text Tool", you can type your entries directly on the sheet in Acrobat and save each sheet directly to your computer.

In addition to a link to the daily accounting sheet, every blog post this month will include an Abundance Action for the day, and a “receipt” which is a quote to ponder. On the 7th day of each week, you'll be able to link to a "balance" sheet for the week. (Instructions for the balance sheet will come when it is posted on the 7th day of the course.)

I strongly suggest that you plan a specific time that you will do your "accounting" every day. This program is strongly modular in nature, meaning that each day builds up more and more momentum. If you plan to "do the books" at the same time every day, you are more likely to keep the commitment to yourself.

Take a moment and download the PDF file for the daily accounting sheet located HERE right now, so that we can walk through the steps to complete the accounting sheet.
Step 1: Fill in the date in the upper-left corner.
Step 2: Enter your "deposits" under the "Received" header. Deposits are the things that make you feel grateful and abundant. They can be things that happened on that particular day (i.e., the possibility of a new client, the nice service I received on the phone, the scent of the earth after the rain, the phone call from a friend), or general blessings that you hold from day to day (i.e., my health, my family, my home, the perfection of nature, a working refrigerator, etc.) Write down as many entries as you feel drawn to write.
Step 3: For each entry, enter a "prosperity value" by placing an "x" in the column that corresponds to this question: "On a scale of 1 to 10, how prosperous/abundant/rich/wealthy/grateful does this deposit make you feel?" (Select the word that resonates the most with you.) A value of 1 means "slightly abundant", while a value of 10 means "enormously abundant". Don't think too much as you enter your values, just go with your instinct and mark your x's fairly quickly.
Step 4: Record your "small change" at the bottom of the ledger sheet, by indicating any shifts or changes that you noticed today. These can be simple observations (i.e., I didn't lose my patience in the traffic jam) or more significant changes (i.e., I felt more at peace today than I've felt in a while).
Step 5: Give your "small change" a prosperity value by marking an "x" in the appropriate column (see Step 3).
If there's anything unclear about filling out the accounting sheets, you may post a question in the comment section.

In the Gratitude Garland workshop, I posted my gratitude slip each day. In this course, I will not be posting my ledger sheets. Accounting Your Blessings is more personal and I do not wish to inhibit my experience by posting my sheets. I also do not want to influence your own experience of this course. I may occasionally post some artwork or photographs just to liven up the text with a bit of color!

Today's "RECEIPT":
"Happy thoughts create happy molecules, and healthy thoughts create healthy molecules."
-- Deepak Chopra. M.D.

TODAY'S ABUNDANCE ACTION
Have you ever noticed that when something is on your mind, you start noticing it everywhere? Gratitude works like that, too. When gratitude becomes an important priority in your life, you start seeing more opportunities for gratitude at every turn.

For today's Action, pinpoint something very simple that you enjoy thinking about. It could be the sight of children playing, the sound of laughter, the color pink, delicious food, a really relaxing yawn, hugs from love ones...anything that makes you smile when you think about it. Throughout the day, look for opportunities to think about this thing. Become aware of how easy it is to focus on something positive when you make the effort to bring your attention to that very thing.

Enjoy,
Anne
