Creative ManiFestival Day 22

Your time as a screenwriter isn't complete!

Yesterday, you wrote the dialogue of the courtroom drama that ensues when you must create a voice to defend the fact that your desire is on its way! Continue writing as a screenwriter for today's exercise, which is a slight variation on the exercise in Day 9.

TODAY'S MANIFESTIVAL

1. Do a super-quick "lightning-round" on WHY you want this desire. Why do you want it? Make your list focus on how you will FEEL.

2. Next, write a script for a movie scene, in which you are the main character. Write about having your desire in a very, very specific way, emphasizing the details, and zoning in on the ESSENCE of how the main character (you) feel in this space.

3. Next, pretend that the film's producer has asked you to rewrite the scene...keeping the essences alive, but placing the main character in a different situation, which just happens to look like YOUR "as is" life right now. Rewrite the scene according to these directions. When you are finished, go back and rewrite the script, keeping everything as-is, except replacing the details that have to do with your desire with things that are in your reach in your real life.

(For more information on how to do this, go back to Day 9).

New steps added for today's exercise:

4. After completing the rewrite in #3, write down a list of the CORE ESSENCES that you want to achieve with your desire, as well as any ideas about how you can ignite your current life with those essences right now.

5. Create a collage or other piece of artwork to serve as a visual commitment to remind yourself to practicing implementing those essences every day!
